Odea Montreal is a mixed project born from a partnership between Creeco and Cogir Immobilier. Located in Old Montreal, Odea will showcase the history of the Cree nation. The name of the project, Odea, comes from the Cree word “ode” meaning canoe, which explains the representation of a canoe on the vertical façade of the building. The project, inspired by nature and aiming for LEED silver certification, will include 171 condominiums and 264 rental apartments. More than half of the 3442 square meter lot will be made up of green spaces including terraces and paths. Residents will benefit from bold common spaces such as two rooftop pools with lounge, shared workspaces and several other amenities.
Several technologies will be implemented to improve the energy efficiency of the project. Thus, Odea will include a central water heater, a ventilation system introducing fresh air into all units, high-performance glazing that minimizes unwanted solar heat gain and heat loss, and several other technologies to ensure sustainable construction and good water management.
